This item was much better than expected and has better fit/finish than older century stands I have used in the past. The dampening on closure is especially nice. For the money...including arm and clamps.. this is a BEST BUY.

This is a great C-stand and compared to most C-stands of its build quality it is very affordable. However, this C-stand is very very difficult to store. It is bulky, heavy, and doesn't break down very well. You can collapse the stabilizing legs and detach the main center support but this still makes for a seriously awkward-to-handle piece of equipment.
Performance-wise it simply works and it works great. Be certain to get sandbags when you order this stand. Anything other than a small strobe on the boom arm will add significant weight as the center-of-gravity isn't broad enough for the stand to support it's own weight. Any modifier on the boom will likely require you to have sandbags on the support legs.
