This is a rock solid grip system. ePhoto Studio thought of everything in the design of this product. There are three unique sections (excluding the grip arm accessory holder) that are assembled together into one complete grip stand. The three riser sections of the middle part of the stand are supported by springs to add protection to the overall unit should someone loosen a section without holding firmly to the pole. I've had that happen before when someone who wasn't familiar with production offer assistance during equipment break down. They simply loosened one of the sections and the pole came slamming down. This product offers a bit of protection to the unit. I also like the soft grip in the middle section as well. This comes in hand should your hands be oily or sweaty - especially during a hot afternoon shoot outside or something. Wet hands on a smooth metal surface do not provide a good grip. Thankfully, they thought of this as well by providing a soft grip. Simply put, this is a solid unit with a lot to offer!
